Butler Regional Endocrinology
In Butler County, more than 20 percent of the population suffers from diabetes, and the epidemic is growing.
The good news is that it can be managed, and in many cases, avoided altogether.
A recent community health assessment by Butler Health System concluded that there was a great need in this region for endocrinology services. As a result, Butler Regional Endocrinology (BRE) was created. Its goal is to provide specialty treatment and education for diabetes, thyroid disease and other glandular and hormonal disorders. BRE works hand-in-hand with The Diabetes Management Center at Butler Memorial Hospital, referring patients for educational programs and dietitian services. Butler Regional Endocrinology is a specialty practice of Butler Medical Providers and is operated by Butler Health System.
